What if the Lord never spoke to Moses about the seven days of creation?
What if God did not tell Noah about the flood that was going to wash away mankind?
What if the great I AM never guided Israel with the cloud by day and fire by night?
What if the prophets were deaf to the Spirit of God?
What would have happened if Gabriel never told Mary and Joseph about Jesus?
Could you imagine if the Gospels were never recorded?
What if Paul had no inspiration whatsoever to write those 13 letters?
What if God told you that you could fly?
The Word of God (what I like to call it) is simply amazing. It encompasses the books of law, historical accounts, poetry and wisdom, the prophets, the Gospels, establishment of the church, Paul’s letters, and general letters and ending prophecy.
The bible isn’t just an instruction manual. It is a living, breathing testimony. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 NKJV).
Our Lord knows how to truly captivate His children. Not only did He make His presence known to us in the former days, but His Spirit motivated normal everyday people to record His story of redemption! All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). So the bible is God-breathed?
That means that God spoke things into existence? That means He said, “Let there be…” and by His power, things were formed? Yes. God spoke. God speaks. God will speak. He remains the same today and tomorrow, so what He did in Genesis 1, He can do today. He can speak and things can be. What He did in Luke 2 can be done today. He can make His presence known and things can change according to His design.
If you are a person who is having a little trouble about how God truly converses with you please take note. If you are struggling with how Jesus REALLY reasons with you, I beg you: listen up!
Instead of saying to yourself, ‘What if I can’t hear God speaking to me?’ say, ‘What if I can hear God talking to me?’ – You see the difference?
If He didn’t talk to you, then what made you start reading this article? If He didn’t tell you certain things, then why do you keep reading your bible? Why do you keep going to church seeking an answer? Why are you praying vigorously even though you are struggling with your prayer life as is? I’ll tell you why –because God picked you out for a specific reason. He took you under His wing and spoke LIFE to you. He did that so you could hear him. Now go fly (Isaiah 40:31).
