Luke 11:34 (ESV)
Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness.
I’m not really sure if guys go through this as often as girls, but as a girl I can speak for all of us when I say this: it’s happened to all of us more times than can be counted.
One minute you catch a glimpse of your reflection in the mirror and you are the hottest thing smoking; then the next minute you catch your reflection and all you can think is “whodunitandwhy”.
Self-perception is almost always skewed. We base our opinions of ourselves by what we see, which is not always through Godly goggles.
Take for instance Eve, we all know the story, she was made perfect from the rib of Adam in the image of God, yet somehow she was deceived and the acuity of her image was distorted (Genesis 3). The serpent made her to feel more superior than she was which caused her to lose her godly goggles and fall.
On the other hand, take the woman who was caught in adultery (John 8:1-10). I feel it is safe to assume that she didn’t think very much of herself, for she was sleeping with a man that she wasn’t married to (assuredly another woman’s husband). It wasn’t until Jesus came and saved her that her perception of herself changed.
No matter what you think, the way you see yourself will never be consistent. Some days you will feel on top of the world, while others you may feel like a lowly slug.
Lucky for us, Jesus came and died so that we won’t have to deal with such a trampoline of emotion. No matter how we think or feel, we are beautiful in the eyes of the Lord! He loves us, No matter what. Pray today that you will start seeing yourself through Gods eyes.

This is cute and informative! Love it! And yes, guys feel the same way whether we like to admit it or not haha! We have insecurities about our looks as well. Its not just the ladies
