Bearing Fruit

Will the real Christians please stand up?
Whatever happened to letting our lights so shine before men so they see our good works and glorify our father who is in heaven? (Matthew 5:14-16).
Whatever happened to the regenerated man who never forgot he had a lot to do in a short time? (John 9:4).
What happened to our sense of stewardship to God so we always chose the God option at the crossroads of decisions? (Jeremiah 6:16).
Whatever is it that caused us to “leave our first love”? (Revelation 2:4)
What attraction is it that caused us to be so anxious to leave home? (Luke 15:12, 13)
Why did we choose to sleep when we were expected to wait for “just one hour”? (Mark 14:37)
Why did we hide our talents, not investing and earning dividends for the master? (Matthew 25:14-18)
Do you know what we’ve done? We kissed him on the cheek just like Judas did and then quickly ran to go rule our own worlds so that he endured the pains of the whips and the hurt of the mocking for nothing more than just 30 pieces of silver. (Matthew 26:15)
But what if God met our needs the way we responded to his calls to service?
What if God closed His doors to us because we closed the doors of our hearts on Him?
What if God couldn’t take the time to bless us today because we couldn’t take the time to bless him yesterday?
What if God answered our prayers the way we gave Him our love?
Creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19).
Church, let’s be “Ephesians”.
