Wednesday -
Wednesday was definitely a weird day! Outside, we struggled with getting the kids to pay attention and discipline them. But inside, the kids behaved really well with crafts and music. When the team met up, we realized it was just one of those days where things were haywire. After VBS, we went the beach for lunch and attended two house bible studies, which made the day a tad bit better.
Thursday -
The children at Vacation Bible School must have drunk the “Good Juice” or something because everything went extremely well Thursday. The flow of changing into groups was awesome, they sang songs really loud and behaved very pleasantly. Afterwards, the team ate lunch at the Inn and had dinner at the Big Banana, a really awesome restaurant.
Friday -
Yesterday was the last day of VBS and it was very chaotic day. We had speakers come throughout the week and on Friday, an officer came to talk to the children. Also a news crew from a Christian television channel showed up to videotape the Vacation Bible School. That was very encouraging! At the end, we all received a hundred hugs from the kids and gave away millions of stickers. I strongly believe we made a lasting impact on the children, planting many seeds all week. We are thinking about coming back for a Christmas VBS this year!
After bible school, we went to the market to get souvenirs, went to another beach and had a big dinner with Sister Mae and some of the helpers/kids from VBS. The dinner was a great way to end the week.
Saturday -
Team 1 and 2 left this morning at 5:30AM to catch their flight back to the States. Team 3 and Nina will be leaving today in the late afternoon. Before we depart Antigua, we plan to return to the market and Big Banana. We will then check our bags and wait to board our planes.
Prayer Requests:
Pray for the children whom we shepherded, taught and got to know. Pray for the teen leaders who helped us, John – a missionary in Antigua who ministered to the older kids, Sister Mae – that she will be strong and continue the ministry she has with the kids, and that she would get much fellowship with adults, pray for us to have safe travels.
Thank you guys for being a supportive, prayerful part of this mission trip. Even though you were not there with us, you played a humongous part in this endeavor for Jesus Christ. God Bless You!

This sounds like a great trip! Glad you enjoyed it, and had the opportunity to bless others too.
Great work guys and the Lord blessed you trememdously it sounds! No wonder you want to go back!
